A Better Society for Princess

My experience with a young girl- Princess
Just because I refused to follow the others see where it has landed me. Corruption is every where
In tears those were the words of a young girl Princess I met yesterday.

Yesterday was a very beautiful day with my normal Friday routine where I anchor a Youth Hub session.

I started talking to the participants about social entrepreneurship. They were all in high spirits but I noticed a young girl to my right. Her countenance was the exact opposite of every other participant. She looked dejected and I could feel her pain. I asked her to see me at the end of the program.

At the end of the program, I met her and we started talking.
What's your name I asked? Princess, she replied.
I asked her what the problem was. She said, "I  just saw my result and it was woeful". It was her worst result ever.
She said, "Just because I refused to follow the others see where it has landed me. Corruption is everywhere. After all the hard work I put into my studies- waking up 3 am everyday to read, having a vocabulary note I still failed."
She went on to narrate that teachers would always demand for cash gifts and sexual favors from her class. But she refused and that's why they decided to fail her.
"The ones that don't read are the ones that passed and my parents would never believe me" Princess stressed further.

Princess is in a public school. See the kind of treatment she expose to at such a young age. Her teachers harassing her in school, her parents never believing her story.

How do we make the society a better place for people like Princess. Imagine the kind of views she has about the society already.

Let our family life not be one sided. Parents please listen to your children too.

Share your thoughts! Let's make the society a better place for the take-over generation. The change we want to see today starts from us!
