Bridging The Gap

For those of us that are still students we know that there is  a gap between the classroom and the real word.

I'm a Civil Engineering student, everyday we learn a lot of theories and a lot of classroom stuff but we are always yearning to see how they how they apply to the real world.'

So my exciting course mates and I, Civil Engineering '19 Covenant University pushed for a way to close this gap and we suggested more field experience. Thanks to our listening lecturers we were able to visit Covenant University's Sport Complex Site.

Not to bore you with the engineering review, it's an ultramodern sporting facility with two stands and a capacity of about 7000 seats, 8-lane track and a lot more games facilities.

We were able to see different ways the theories we learn are applied. My biggest take back from this field trip is that one has to be ready for any situation and we must be able to apply our ingenuity to different situations to solve problems.

The project is due to be completed by the end of this year and I look forward to playing my final year league there.
